Lauren Harris Jewellery

Lauren Harris started her jewellery apprenticeship in 1992 aged 17.  She was taught the art of making fine jewellery by hand using age old techniques. This has enabled her to create strong durable jewellery that is original, practical and very comfortable to wear. Her jewellery making style continues to evolve as she studies and explores a combination of ancient and modern techniques as well as using her own improvisations and the many inspirations she is surrounded by.

Having lived by the sea for most of her life, the ocean is definitely one of Lauren's biggest inspirations which comes through in the designs, colours and materials she uses in her work.

Lauren Harris prefers to use Australian Gems. She loves the rare and unusual. To know a gems origin and possibly a story about them is something she enjoys passing onto her clients. She uses precious metals, most of which have been recycled.

Lauren Harris likes to think of her work eventually becoming antiques and family heirlooms. She's confident that with a little care, her jewellery will stand the test of time.

Lauren Harris is a proud member of the Gold & Silversmiths Guild of Australia. Fellow #142
