“It wasn’t the Blades or Bullets that Could Kill Her…”

“It was your Words…” Capturing the moment which words killed me. It amazes me how still after 2 decades of deep study I am still sensitive to others judgment. I have worked on myself so much and have healed all the broken pieces back together with gold, hence the use of rich yellows and golden hues.

Having thick skin has never been my strength but I would always put on a smile. In this painting you can see I have layered a bright whiteness over the mouth to emphasize the fake smile I have at times had to throw on. The hearts represent how I choose to see people and how I choose to speak of people regardless of what they say to me.
